Information used

RigorSync stores your account identifier, study ideas, reference materials, answers, feedback, review history, preferences, and saved drafts. Uploaded images and recordings are stored with your account. Recording requires your microphone permission; camera input requires your device permission.

Sign-in

Clerk handles account sign-in when enabled. Google sign-in shares basic profile information and your email address with the authentication service. RigorSync does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, or contacts. Existing ChatGPT sign-in identifies your account while that sign-in method remains available.

AI processing and hosting

Relevant study text, answers, images, and recordings are sent to OpenAI to generate materials, transcribe uploads, and provide assessments. The hosting platform, Cloudflare infrastructure, Clerk, and OpenAI process information needed to provide their services. Their applicable privacy and retention policies also apply. Avoid uploading sensitive information that is unnecessary for studying.

Usage measurement

RigorSync records account-level AI request usage, estimated costs, and study activity such as ideas added and reviews completed. The owner dashboard uses this information to manage costs and understand product use.

Storage and deletion

Study data remains associated with your account until removed. Settings includes a Delete account action that removes the app's stored study data, uploads, drafts, and usage records. A minimal deletion marker prevents requests already in progress from restoring deleted data. Deletion from RigorSync does not delete your Google or ChatGPT account. Provider logs and backups follow each provider's retention policies. Contact support for access or deletion help.

Subscription records

Stripe processes payment details when billing is available. RigorSync stores provider customer and subscription identifiers and minimal event receipts to manage access, cancellation, and delayed payment notifications. These records are separate from your study history and may remain after study-data deletion for reconciliation. Card numbers are handled by Stripe, not stored by RigorSync. Your device

Sign-in uses session cookies. The app also saves interface preferences and recoverable recording drafts on your device. Shared-device users should log out after studying.
